About YPCV

The Young Professionals of Central Virginia (YPCV) exists to attract and retain young talent in the area. We are dedicated to finding new ways for young adults to connect with our community, grow personally and professionally, and live life to its fullest.

We realize that we need one another. For everything from moving into a new home, finding your next job, choosing a place of worship, and knowing where to find the best sushi in town, people need relationships.  YPCV focuses on the principals of Connect, Grow, and Live.  We offer opportunities for you to Connect to other professionals in the region, Grow in your professional career and knowledge, and Live a more fulfilling life in your community, through social, educational, and service-based events.  YPCV is a community of emerging leaders that is making a positive impact in Central Virginia. By joining the Young Professionals of Central Virginia, you will make friends, make a difference, and become a vital part of this region, socially and professionally.

The connect committee is dedicated to ensuring that every young professional in the region is given the opportunity to initiate and build relationships with other people who share a similar stage in life.  The connect committee plans and hosts events throughout the region and beyond in order to provide venues conducive to building friendships and business partnerships.

The grow committee is committed to the personal and professional growth of each and every young professional in the region.  In order to provide the broadest and most appealing range of events to motivated young professionals, the grow committee offers luncheons, webcasts, and other personal and professional growth-oriented meetings on a monthly basis.

The live committee is the community service arm of YPCV.  Every month the live committee plans and hosts an event that is designed to make a difference in the community through partnership with local nonprofit organizations.
